TicTact Project

The objective of this study is the evaluation of a new vibro-tactile device. This device is used to guide a pedestrian in city and public transport. We have developed a virtual reality scenario to assess the objective and subjective utility of the device. The results showed that the device can properly guide users. We also evaluated the usefulness of a warning vibration before the message and it turns out that the vibration seems to bring confusion in the vibration pattern recognition by the user.
